Description: The Water Heater is used in the Deployable Medical Systems (DEPMEDS) Combat Support Hospital to ensure that the water does not freeze in cold environments. Up to 12 Water Heaters are deployed for each hospital, depending on its size. Water continuously flows through 1-1/2" cam & groove hose fittings, passing through an internal turbulent generator and six heating elements. The Water Heater has an internal thermostat that automatically controls the water temperature, and prevents overheating and overpressurization of the tank and associated hoses in the event of low or no water flow. In addition to miliatary use, the portable Water Heater has application in the commercial and industrial environments. |
