Fort Defiance Industries (FDI) has an ISO 13485:2016 certified Quality Management System that covers the entire life cycle of our products. As a medical device manufacturer, FDI is focused on safe and effective device operation in compliance with the Food and Drug Administration Quality System Regulation. FDI also manufactures aluminum pressure vessels compliant with The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.

Harsh environments and forward deployed conditions demand that the P2131 is manufactured with durability in mind and this includes its coating. Critical components on the P2131 are coated with military grade Cerakote. Cerakote is a polymer-ceramic coating that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness.
